This is the final copy of my logo. I have changed the difference between black background and the image, and also changed the text to the same colour of the background in the picture.

Construction of Logo
These are the first few shots of what I have decided to use for my main logo:
The second appears more professional due to the different colours, however the font appears a bit amateur, so that will be the next thing to be changed.
